On December 12, 2024, PMC and the Congressional Personalized Medicine Caucus co-hosted an educational briefing for Congressional staffers titled "Personalized Medicine and Cardiology." The briefing examined how advances in personalized medicine can improve the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases through the use of genetic information, machine learning and artificial intelligence, and targeted therapy. It also explored public policies that can best support this efficient and precise approach to patient care.

On March 20, 2024, PMC, the Congressional Personalized Medicine Caucus, and the Congressional Kidney Caucus co-hosted an educational briefing for Congressional staffers titled "Personalized Medicine and Kidney Care." The briefing examined how personalized medicine is benefiting kidney transplant patients now. It also highlighted key actions the research community is taking to improve the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease through personalized medicine.

The briefing explored the burden of mental illness in the United States, the growing body of evidence supporting the value of pharmacogenetic-based testing in informing the treatment of mental health disorders, and what Congress can do to help expand patient access to improved diagnostic and treatment options.
