The Congressional Personalized Medicine Caucus and the Personalized Medicine Coalition co-organized a virtual Congressional briefing on April 28, 2022, titled "Promoting Innovation and Delivery of Cell and Gene Therapies."
At the United States Capitol on December 5, the co-chairs of the Congressional Personalized Medicine Caucus organized a briefing in cooperation with the Personalized Medicine Coalition to help educate their colleagues in the House and Senate about the importance of adopting public policies designed to alleviate educational, reimbursement, and clinical adoption challenges that make it difficult for clinicians to take full advantage of emerging opportunities in personalized medicine. The briefing featured remarks from leaders in academia, patient advocacy, and the diagnostics industry.
On May 24, 2023, PMC convened an audience of journalists, policymakers, and business leaders at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, where National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) Director Eric Green delivered the Coalition's Annual State of Personalized Medicine Address on the past, present, and future of the field.

Alexion/AstraZeneca Rare Disease, the EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases, the National Society of Genetic Counselors, and the Personalized Medicine Coalition will convene a reception with Congressional leaders and rare disease experts on Tuesday, July 18, at 5:30 p.m. to discuss how Congress, patient advocates, and industry leaders can work together to deliver faster diagnoses for rare disease patients. On July 20, 2023, PMC and the Congressional Personalized Medicine Caucus co-hosted an educational briefing for Congressional staffers titled "Personalized Medicine and Mental Health." The briefing explored the burden of mental illness in the United States, the growing body of evidence supporting the value of pharmacogenetic-based testing in informing the treatment of mental health disorders, and what Congress can do to help expand patient access to improved diagnostic and treatment options.
On September 12, 2023, PMC, Codex4SMEs, and the European Infrastructure for Translational Medicine (EATRIS) will host a virtual tutorial on the regulatory pathways for bringing new diagnostics to market in the United States and Europe.

The briefing examined how personalized medicine is benefiting kidney transplant patients now. It also highlighted key actions the research community is taking to improve the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease through personalized medicine.
