Member Type: Research and Educational Institutions
The Hugh Kaul Personalized Medicine Institute at UAB seeks to align and integrate researchers and clinicians to fuel discovery through research to identify the genetic basis of disease and drug response across the School of Medicine’s signature programs: cardiovascular disease, transplantation, cancer, diabetes, infectious diseases, immunology and the neurosciences. The Institute will conduct and support innovative clinical implementation initiatives integrating patient-specific genetic, lifestyle and environmental factors into personalized treatment plans. The aim of the integrated research and clinical initiatives is to optimize population health, one patient at a time.
