New Directions at CMS: A Discussion of the Agency's RFI on Improving Outcomes and Reducing Costs
Steve Farmer, M.D., Ph.D., Senior Advisor, Medical Officer, Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), will discuss the future of value-based payment at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in the context of the agency's recent request for information (RFI) on how to "drive quality, reduce costs and improve outcomes."
The Coalition's conversation with Farmer, which will be facilitated by PMC's new Vice President for Public Policy, Cynthia Bens, will help inform the Coalition's effort to underline personalized medicine's benefits for both patients and the health system in its response to the RFI.
The business portion of the meeting will cover a range of topics that include value assessment frameworks, the clinical and economic value of next-generation sequencing and the integration of personalized medicine in clinical settings.
Please contact Mary Bordoni, Director, Membership & Development, at mbordoni@personalizedmedicinecoalition.org for more information on the agenda for the meeting.
PMC members shape and advance the future of personalized medicine.
