Pharmacogenomics (PGx), the study of how one’s genes may affect an individual’s response to medication, has reached the translational stage for various specialties in medicine. This course provides an introduction to the basic science of pharmacogenomics and practical application to implement pharmacogenomics in a clinical setting. Mayo Clinic staff and guest speakers with experience leading the implementation of pharmacogenomics will provide instruction, experience, and practical guidance on a range of topics and case study working sessions.
