Event Overview

As the U.S. confronts significant challenges in improving healthcare quality and controlling costs, personalized healthcare and evidence-based medicine are emerging as part of the potential solution. To realize this potential, it will be critically important to establish policies that support both of these mutually reinforcing disciplines to ensure that care is both evidence-based and patient-centric.

Recent developments in personalized healthcare and evidence-based medicine (including comparative effectiveness) illustrate the significant ways in which these fields will influence each other, and point the way to patient-centered, evidence-based healthcare solutions. This evening and a day summit will provide a forum to frame the debate around the issues, opportunities, and areas for more in-depth discussion that are needed to facilitate these disciplines moving forward together to improve healthcare.
