PMC Completes Legislative Specifications
At the suggestion of Congresswoman Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.), PMC's legislative workgroup designed six legislative specifications to help the Congresswoman develop a new version of the Genomics and Personalized Medicine Act that would both foster personalized medicine innovation and enjoy community-wide support. The concepts include:
- Ensure Adequate Representation of the Personalized Medicine Perspective Through Advisory Committees
- Incentivize Personalized Medicine by Creating a Transparent and Predictable Regulatory Environment for Personalized Medicine Products
- Medicare Coverage of Personalized Medicine Diagnostics and Related Items and Services
- Expedited Exceptions Process for Personalized Medicine Drug/Biologic Under Medicare Part D
- Personalized Medicine Research and Development Tax Credits
- Ensure Patient Access to Personalized Medicine Through Delivery System Reforms
