Generation Health is a genetic benefit management (GBM) company that specializes in helping healthcare payors manage medical and pharmacy costs and improve their members’ health by optimizing the use of genetic testing.  Just as pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) arose in the 1980s to help manage pharmacy expenditures, we recognize the need for a trusted third party that can help payors navigate the increasingly complex field of genomics.

Generation Health manages a systematic, comprehensive, and cost-effective process for administering genetic testing benefits, including the evaluation of clinical evidence to determine clinical utility; cost and outcome models to support evidence for reimbursement; the industry’s first Best Test^TM Genetics Network to manage the rapid growth of testing costs for payors; data and analytics to review gaps in care among patients; and outreach programs to ensure thorough communications between patients, physicians, laboratories, and pharmacists.  In partnership with CVS Caremark, the nation’s largest pharmacy healthcare provider, Generation Health’s first product will tailor prescriptions to patient’s genetic background by incorporating the latest pharmacogenomic evidence and coordinating high-quality genetic testing through its Best Test^TM Genetics Network.
