Value-based healthcare (VBHC), or the move to a health care system that explicitly prioritizes desired patient outcomes relative to the cost of achieving these outcomes, represents a seismic shift in the health care system as we know it. Still in its early stages, this move from a supply-driven model to a more patient-centered system based on the outcome of treatments as opposed to the volume of services has already been tested in varying degrees around the world, though challenges to its full deployment remain.
Join a live, streamed virtual event on the subject of value-based health care (VBHC). Anchored in the results of the EIU’s VBHC global assessment report, this discussion will consider the significant challenges to implementing VBHC, with an emphasis on how these challenges differ by region and which parts of the world offer solid models of value-based health systems that others can reference as they develop their own. This event will include research based on findings and methodology, policy papers and case studies.
